Planning a bris or baby naming? Stephen Wise Free Synagogue is here for you during this exciting time.
We want to know your great news! The youngest members of our congregation are warmly welcome at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, with personal congratulations sent from Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch.
To commemorate the event and plan a brit or baby naming, please contact the assistant to the senior rabbi at rabbiassistant@swfs.org or (212) 877-4050, ext. 226. Baby namings can happen months or even a year after the birth.
You are also welcome to stop by to visit Rabbi Hirsch and introduce him to your newest family member.
The connection continues with the following year’s High Holy Day Neilah service, where all babies and children welcomed into Stephen Wise Free Synagogue. Families will be blessed on the bimah, surrounded by the glow of the community, the sound of the shofar, and the symbolic Havdalah service.
