Did you miss out on having a bar or bat mitzvah as a child?
It’s never too late to begin the bar/bat mitzvah process at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue. A signature experience at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue is our two-year Adult B’nai Mitzvah Program. Our most recent class graduated in spring 2022 and our next one will begin in autumn 2022.
If you missed the opportunity to have a bar or bat mitzvah as a child…
if you had a bar or bat mitzvah but want to increase your own Jewish knowledge…
or if you simply want to join a community of learners every week in deepening your connection to Judaism…
Stephen Wise Free Synagogue’s Adult B’nai Mitzvah Program can help you build a foundation of knowledge about our sacred texts and traditions — and culminates with a special group b’nai mitzvah service.
These classes are appropriate for students from all walks of life, ages and Jewish backgrounds. Rabbi Samantha Natov leads the weekly sessions, with guest teaching from Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch, Cantor Dan Singer and our other clergy.
Whether you’re 23 or 83, new to Jewish life or a longtime member of the community — if you missed out on having your bar or bat mitzvah growing up, then Stephen Wise’s Adult B’nai Mitzvah program is right for you!
The Adult B’nai Mitzvah program is for Stephen Wise Free Synagogue members only. If you’re not yet a member, click here to learn about the benefits of joining our synagogue community.
