Last Tuesday, Israel’s consul general in New York, Amb. Dani Dayan, visited our Israeli outreach initiative, Chofshi B’Manhattan.

Amb. Dayan spent time with the students at our Lomdim Chofshi Hebrew school and spoke about what being Israeli means to him and some of the challenges and rewards of his job representing Israel in New York.

This year, 104 Hebrew-speaking children of Israeli families from across New York are attending Lomdim Chofshi’s two Manhattan Hebrew school locations, where they share joyful learning experiences during lessons focused on Hebrew language, Israeli culture and Jewish traditions.
