Responding to threats by several top-tier Democratic presidential candidates to condition U.S. aid to Israel, Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch reminded the candidates of the mainstream American Jewish and Democratic support for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and expressed alarm at the encroachment of anti-Israel sentiments in the Democratic party.
Our people have raised Zion from desolation and made it live again. As much as we might disagree or argue amongst ourselves, this synagogue will always stand by Israel’s side — not uncritically, but unconditionally.
We sat down with Rabbi Samantha Natov to discuss her work at Stephen Wise and her vision for adult education programming in the coming year.
