For all new families, admission notification letters are sent out in March in accordance with ISAAGNY guidelines. Synagogue members and ongoing and sibling families will be offered the opportunity for early notification for admissions to the Early Childhood Center. Contracts will be sent to ongoing and sibling families according to ISAAGNY guidelines. Please see the director if you have applied to an ongoing school and will not hear from the school until a later date.
The Early Childhood Center at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue is a proud member of the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY). Founded in 1965, ISAAGNY aims to ensure orderly, professional, and equitable admissions processes at member schools: we do so by observing a shared admissions timeline, engaging in professional development to hone our collective craft, exchanging resources and best practices, and more. The resulting spirit of cooperation serves schools, families, and nearly 30,000 students across greater New York.
Families enrolling their children at the Early Childhood Center at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue must become members of Stephen Wise Free Synagogue (and must be eligible for synagogue membership). Any adult Jewish person (recognized as a Jew by the teachings and tenets of the Reform Movement), the spouse or partner of a Jewish person, or the family of a Jewish person may be elected as a member of the synagogue by the board of trustees. Stephen Wise Free Synagogue is a 501(c)(3) religious organization (Tax ID #13-1628215) and any donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
