See ‘Golda’ with SWFS 🙋
On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, join your Stephen Wise Free Synagogue friends and Rabbi Tracy Kaplowitz (who will be sitting in row H8 — try to select a seat in row H or nearby!) for an early release of “Golda” starring Helen Mirren! This special screening two days before the film’s nationwide release will feature an exclusive (recorded) Q&A with Helen Mirren and director Guy Nattiv.
Directed by Academy Award winner Guy Nattiv, Golda is a ticking-clock thriller set during the tense 19 days of the Yom Kippur War. Faced with the potential of Israel’s annihilation, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir (played by Academy Award winner Helen Mirren), must navigate overwhelming odds, a skeptical cabinet, and a complex relationship with U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber), as millions of lives hang in the balance. Her tough leadership and compassion would ultimately decide the fate of her nation and leave her with a controversial legacy around the world…
