Who taught David Ben Gurion to stand on his head? Join contemporary movement masters Frederick Schjang and Scott Fraser to learn about the life of Moshe Feldenkrais, an engineer and judo expert who, following a chronic knee injury, applied his eclectic knowledge to develop his unique Feldenkrais® therapeutic movement method.
“It’s a series of slow, controlled movements done in awareness, to teach you how to interact with your environment more effectively,” says Schjang. “The majority of classes are done lying on the floor on your back; some are on your side, your belly, or seated or standing.”
Interwoven with the history will be a (seated) introduction to the gentle awareness through movement® lessons that many credit with their being able to live life with renewed vigor and vitality. We can’t wait to learn and unwind with you! This virtual session is open to all regardless of fitness levels or prior fitness experience.
If you have any problems registering through Zoom, please call the synagogue office at (212) 877-4050, ext. 280.
