2024 United Nations Holocaust Memorial Ceremony 🇺🇳

Friday, Jan 26, 2024
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
United Nations Headquarters
405 E 45th St
New York, NY 10017 United States

Stephen Wise Free Synagogue members and friends are invited to join the United Nations in its annual observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Secure your seat to witness our very own Cantor Dan Singer recite the haunting Jewish memorial prayer for the departed, “El Maleh Rachamim,” at the U.N. podium.

Three Holocaust survivors will testify, sharing their remarkable stories of survival and several dignitary speakers, including the United Nations secretary-general, the president of the 78th session of the general assembly, and the permanent representatives of Israel and the United States to the United Nations, will address those gathered.

Tickets for this United Nations program are free and available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis; members should arrive before 10 a.m. to ensure timely access.

Signs with slogans and clothing with logos are not permitted. United Nations security reserves the right to deny entry to or remove from the premises anyone not behaving or dressed appropriately. For more information, visit the United Nations website here to read about what (not) to bring and rules to follow while visiting the United Nations.
