Do you like acting? Do you like singing? Do you want to be part of a beloved Stephen Wise tradition? You’d be a wonderful addition to the cast of our annual Purim spiel, featuring congregants of all ages and levels of talent!

This year’s spiel, “The Megill-OZ: A Very WICKED Spiel” premieres on Erev Purim, March 13, and is inspired by “Wicked” — the iconic, long-running Broadway show (an upcoming major motion picture) that has captivated audiences worldwide! “Wicked” tells a powerful story of friendship, resilience and bravery in the face of evil, perfectly resonating with the themes of the Megillah. But wait, there’s more! Our “Megill-OZ” will also feature music from “The Wizard of Oz” and “The Wiz!”

Join us on Wednesday, December 18, at 7:15 p.m., to showcase your talents — sing a song, read a monologue (or cold open), or just be your awesome self.

Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, January 5. Junior Spielers under 13 (grades 2–7) do not need to audition and will be asked to join rehearsals starting on Sunday, February 2. Sign them up now by emailing purim@swfs.org.
