Jews have often wondered how the Holocaust was even possible. “October 7 is how it happens. A nuclear-armed Iran is how it happens,” said Rabbi Ammi Hirsch, commenting on Israel’s preemptive strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. “Judaism is for peace – and for life,” he says. But “when someone threatens to kill Jews, believe them.” Judaism teaches: “Choose life so that you and your offspring may live…” and “If your enemy seeks your destruction, arise earlier to thwart him…”
