With the FDA’s emergency use approval for the Pfizer pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for children ages five to 11, our congregations are excited to come together to learn from pediatric emergency physician Dr. Maureen Nemetski.

Dr. Nemetski will discuss vaccine updates for children under the age of 12 and strategies for communicating with your children. She will also be able to answer your related questions.

Dr. Maureen Nemetski is a pediatric emergency medicine attending physician at Hackensack University Medical Center’s Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

As a Jewish community, we believe that pikuach nefesh, or preserving human life, supersedes all other mitzvot (commandments).

This event is part of a collaboration with B’nai Jeshurun, Central Synagogue, Temple Emanu-El, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Conservative Synagogue Adat Israel of Riverdale, Park Avenue Synagogue, West End Temple, and Temple Israel of the City of New York.
