Celebrate the High Holy Days with SWFS!

SWFS offers creative, inspiring early and late services, innovative holiday programming for Tots and Families,
exceptional learning opportunities, and the warmth of the Upper West Side Community.

Members in good standing are entitled to free seating for the High Holy Days. In accordance with the historic, egalitarian principles of SWFS, there are no reserved seats.Tickets will be available for members' out-of-town relatives at a nominal charge. Non-members are encouraged to consider joining the congregation. For more information, visit: www.swfs.org,

If you have never attended SWFS High Holy Day services, and would like to have a "taste," non-member tickets will be available this year. The cost of the non-member ticket can be applied toward membership if you join following the holidays.

Sanctuary Refurbishing
Just one more month until the unveiling of our new sanctuary! Until then, 6 pm Friday evening Kabbalat Shabbat services will be held in the Social Hall and 10:45 am Saturday morning services will be held in the Library on the 4th floor. We will be back in the Sanctuary by Labor Day weekend.

In just a few weeks, SWFS will be making a historic trip to the FSU to deliver one of our Torah scrolls to the Cherkassy Community, a young, growing congregation in the Ukraine. Although only a small number of you are able to physically join us for this incredible trip, those who remain in New York can still be part of the experience.
