About the Director
 Lori Schneider has been the Director of the ECC since her
arrival at Stephen Wise in 1994. She is responsible for the ECC’s
transformation from a 43-student school to a strong community of more
than 128 children. Under Lori’s leadership, the ECC has established
itself as an innovative and dynamic school with an engaging and devoted
team of teachers and other professionals.
Lori is a member of the Board of the Independent Schools
Admissions Association of Greater New York (“ISAAGNY”), the
organization of admissions directors and heads of schools that, among
other things, sets standards for admissions processes at all member independent
schools in the Greater New York City area. She also is a member of the
National Association for the Education of Young Children and holds a
National Membership in the Board of Jewish Education.
Lori holds a Masters Degree in Education from Bank Street
College of Education and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration
from New York University.
