Lowell AptmanVice PresidentLowell Aptman and his wife, Eileen, are parents of two wonderful daughters, Isabel (9 years old) and Madeline (6 years old), and have been members of SWFS since 1999. Between 2002 and 2004, Lowell served on the Board of Trustees of SWFS, and since 2004, he has served as a Vice President of the Executive Committee of the Board. Presently, Lowell serves as Chairperson of the Long Range Planning Committee and the Personnel Committee, as well as acting as the Synagogue’s de facto General Counsel. He previously served as Chairperson of the Rabbinical Search Committee, which brought Senior Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch and Interim Rabbi Charles Kroloff to our community. Lowell also served on the most recent Cantorial Search Committee, which led to the hiring of Cantor Dan Singer. His connection with and commitment to SWFS only grew stronger while traveling on the recent Synagogue trip to Israel. A reformed litigator, Lowell is vice president of liability–claims for a regional property & casualty insurer. He received his A.B. from Duke University and J.D. from Boston University School of Law. |
